apocalypse (n.)
late 14c., “revelation, disclosure,” from Church Latin apocalypsis “revelation,” from Greek apokalyptein “uncover, disclose, reveal,” from apo “off, away from” (see apo-) + kalyptein “to cover, conceal,” from PIE root *kel- (1) “to cover, conceal, save.” The Christian end-of-the-world story is part of the revelation in John of Patmos’ book “Apokalypsis” (a title rendered into English as pocalipsis c. 1050, “Apocalypse” c. 1230, and “Revelation” by Wyclif c. 1380).

to reveal ALL that
was once hidden

men have tried
to silence the power
of the feminine
living Gaia

they’ve hurt
abused
mistreated
devalued for
centuries

wrap a white cloth
with formaldehyde
around the mouth
discarding
and bury her
in silence

a swollen fetid
landfill falls
men’s unbridled
misconduct

clear cutting
alive fertile forests
drilling extracting her
oil blood jewels and gold
blue skies made black

raping her
raping our mother
her daughters
selfish predators
mad with power
and control

and now we see
that their efforts
to extract in
conscienceless
cruelty and silence

were like using
a manhole cover
to plug a
caldera

hell’s molten fury itself
unearthed
She is forcing them
forcing us
each one
to now atone
for this stain

wiping clear burning
by her transparent light
that now lights up
even the night skies

choice-less
she mandates
our contrition
our evolution
apocalypse now.

She casts us naked
to our knees to bow
culling our herd
by one third

and then again
when the skies clear
the mad greed that
hurts the hearts of others
destroys our mother’s
nourishment
will be quelled

we will all praise again
revere
the life giving
earth, sky and sun
as divine
a sundance
a renaissance
of decency
hearts ripped
uncovered

the true revelation

we forge an altar
with seeded fruits
colored scent flowers
and refracting quartz

and walk gently now
with her permission
under Her care
natural magic love
our species has never
before known.

“And in that moment, I saw a deep, deep sickness and inhumanity at the heart of contemporary spirituality. The invalidation of trauma, the false promises, the power games, the suppression of the feminine.” And I vowed to bow to that fucking broken heart as if it were God Herself.
